Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bhṛgu-Parāśara AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Service operator under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India).

2. Nature of the Service

The Service provides AI-assisted Vedic Jyotiṣa (astrology) analysis including natal chart computation, Daśā timelines, Yoga identification, and personalised consultations. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Astrology is a traditional knowledge system and not a science recognised by modern empirical standards.
• AI-generated astrological interpretations may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
• The Service is for educational, spiritual reflection, and entertainment purposes only.
• No astrological reading constitutes financial, medical, legal, psychological, or professional advice of any kind.
• You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information from the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account and birth chart.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• Not share your account credentials with any third party.
• Not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

5. Subscription and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Billing: Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused periods.
• Refunds: Refunds are provided only where required by applicable consumer protection law. Requests must be submitted within 7 days of the charge to [email protected].
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm any person.
• Spread misinformation or make false claims about other individuals.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without written permission.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, algorithms, and design elements of the Service are the intellectual property of the Service operator. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Service.
• Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Karnataka, India. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at [email protected].

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10) shall survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
